Seventh Day Baptists are part of a long story of God’s provision and direction, coming out of the English Reformation of the 1600’s. From our first churches in the London area in the 1650’s to our first churches in America in 1671, we have remained a Biblical people, honoring our consciences before God under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, meeting together for worship on the Sabbath, keeping the Sabbath in loving obedience to God.
As the SDB movement spread around the world, so too did the connections between our covenant communities, first in the formation of the first General Conference in 1802, but also through mission work around the world, until by the 1960’s, a World Federation of Seventh Day Baptists was formed. Today, Seventh Day Baptists reside on 6 continents, proclaiming salvation by faith in Jesus Christ and the blessings of the Sabbath.
As people saved by the perfect life, atoning death, and triumphant resurrection of Christ Jesus, we invite you to connect with us and continue to tell the story of more than 350 years, as God uses our history to inform our present and envision our future.
